The board implements all decisions made by the General Meeting. Members of the board are elected by the General Meeting from among representatives of its full members. Members of the board are elected for term of five years. The president of the board is elected from among the members of the board.
The 3-member board directs and supervises Association operations according to its constitution, and attends to implementation of the annual work plan and budget. The board meets at times set by the General Meeting, but at least every other month. Members and associate members regularly receive memoranda containing the resolutions and statements issued by the board. The duties of the board also include final decisions regarding membership petitions and matters related to professional ethics, monitoring of compliance with membership requirements, representation of the Association in various forums, and representation of Hungarian freight forwarders in FIATA. The board also nominates a secretary, who directs and organises activities related to attaining objectives stated by the board and who reports on these activities to the board.
